The Tinfoil Barbs

    The cool thing about living here is that if I don’t catch a new lifer, I usually see one caught on my equipment by someone else. My friend Dune caught this beautiful Redtail Tinfoil Barb (Barbonymus altus).

    There are 3 Barbs of the Barbonymus family. The other 2 are the Tinfoil Barb (Barbontmus schwanenfeldii) and the Java Barb (Barbonymus gonionotus).

    Should freeze some of them bad boys and ship em out here for circle hook decoration…
