Walleye Fishing Door County Fishing Sturgeon Bay

CAM01300We continue to find success fishing for walleyes here in Door county trolling crank baits such as Rapala Husky Jerks along with Rapala Tail Dancers . We have been finding our best success trolling these baits in water depths in water depths from 15 to 30 feet of water.

On  days where we have abundant cloud cover we have had better success finding the active fish being in shallower water depths and responding to baits that are being trolled closer to the structure.

When we are faced with days with abundant sunshine we have found that the fish have either moved off of structure or pushed down closer to the bottom and we have had to put baits closer to the bottom to get fish to react to the baits.

CAM01325Walleye fishing should continue to produce fish here on the Bay of Green Bay in the Door County area well in to the month of October before the fish begin to make moves to the areas that they will winter over in in areas such as Little Bay De Noc where you can expect to have great catches of trophy Walleyes along with great numbers of fish for the table.
