Mine goes on next week. I have a 360 and lives scope. Been through 3 pull cables breaking on my original Ultrexx. Terrible feeling as you fly through the air. The lift assist is supposed to be better. We will see.

I started building my own. If they break, it’s on me. Does suck when you put hours into a rod, and I do something stupid and break it. I’m too lazy to call StCroix about warranty work. Probably dumb on my part. I can break an expensive rod as easy as a cheap one. Don’t go high buck anymore. Mid-level Fenwick seems pretty good

We won’t do it that way again. Had a good time tho. I assume they have some angling houses in deeper water next time

Went ice fishing at Winnie this weekend. It was ok, talked smart with the fellas, and watched FB. Still much rather be in the boat.

Just got back. Interesting trip. Drove to the the house and about started laughing. We were in a spear house about the size of an outhouse. 8 fow. Could see the bottom. It was about 90 degrees. Thankfully, my buddy lit up a big, fat stogie to make it even better. Caught about 40 4 in perch, one nice one, and a 17in walleye over 6 hours. The cabin was great. I imagine they have houses made for angling in deeper water if I planned ahead better. Fun weekend, kinda goofy, good football, and talked smart. I’d go back.

Fished Mille Lacs today. We caught a few walleyes. Not fast and furious, but very nice out. My buddy got a 22 and 23. He had a helluva net man.

My mount on the TM shaft has 2 white lines to align the transducer. I adjusted once and the unit went into down mode— I know that’s not the right word. A buddy suggested playing with the angle of the transducer. I was fishing a blade bait the other day. I could see the bait and the swivel at the leader clear as day. A DT-10 isn’t near as easy to see.

Thanksgiving is the best holiday. No presents. Same day of the week. Menu is set. Football— the Lions are actually decent. Usually have the Friday off. Winter road conditions are decent. Go to Reed’s on Saturday.
