Ok I must admit didn’t realize they are only talking banning in tournaments.
Without being thrown out I really am against fishing tournaments of any kind. Even the local High school leagues around here in my opinion are for the rich kids and none of them really have fishing talent just technology talent. Thanks for clarifying it for me.
I do have FFS like it more for ice fishing than summer for bass fishing spent more time looking at a screen quit looking at it and right back at it hammering fish. It has it’s pluses and minuses.
The idea of a contest is knowledge and skill.
The chance many of us will ever be pro anglers is slim some of you do it on a smaller scale I understand that. At the end of the day just want to enjoy the fishing the loons the water and the companionship of my bride.November 28, 2023 at 8:59 am #2238502Bucky I snorted my coffee out on that one so true thanks for the humor

November 21, 2023 at 4:52 pm #2237049For the few people on here. I really enjoy the learning but my days are numbered don’t like Facebook and there are no others and it takes forever to get anything to work. Guessing only 10-12 of the same people even posting sad but the truth.
November 21, 2023 at 8:57 am #2236914Bradlee, As John said he’s correct on the lug nuts. with the cover on the tire was amazed at how well everything was clean this spring when I took off the cover to check air pressure. If it makes you feel good do it no harm glad it went well. Happy Fishing! Now for some ice!
November 13, 2023 at 9:28 am #2235434Thanks everyone. Just called the DNR yes as you all said you can but as Tim said they prefer you have your motor trimmed up and good call on loading this lake does not have a dock so paddles may be in order. Just looks like a pretty lake to explore some time.
November 11, 2023 at 8:28 am #2235170My wife vandalized my truck last year set every radio station to Kool 108 X-mas music. I still have the emotional scars. It runs deep. Fishing is the only thing that has helped with these emotional scars.
November 9, 2023 at 6:16 pm #2234951I have the little Jigger and put it in the very back I drilled the frame holes painted them. Then put the carrier on. I also put a little silicone on the bolt heads and ends one year and no rust on bolts or frame. Your right a template and instructions would have been nice.
November 8, 2023 at 9:12 am #2234673Bought some Northland jigs this year had good luck with them. Had the same issue a few years back they would snap in half.
November 2, 2023 at 12:03 pm #2233896I just look at a rod and it’s broken. Mostly bad luck and my own fault. I do baby them but somehow they break. Except for 2 brands of rods that were quality issues the rest are on me. I’m always moving my rods from the truck bed to the house to the shed to the boat locker etc. Most have been broken trying to get in the house.
October 30, 2023 at 9:36 am #2233203As Big Worm said only I’m Left handed Left eye dominant but shoot all rifles/shotguns left handed how ever for hand guns I shoot right handed but use left eye never a problem.
October 25, 2023 at 8:59 pm #2232404Sierra fits like a glove. Hope Clam sells less this year. My Clam XL did not fit good and always had to take the seat out.
October 23, 2023 at 4:34 pm #2231957I understand the hammer drill mode I use drill mode just to snug the bolts on then use a torque wrench. Thanks for the advice all.
October 19, 2023 at 3:16 pm #2231142Well I took down the ole Clam the window disintegrated over the summer the Eskimo it is. I must say babied that clam had it since 2014 I’ll miss it. I fish with my bride more now days so my alone trips are less but doable with the Eskimo. Thanks for all the advice. Was at Scheels today for the prices I was not impressed with clam in any way. They had a Eskimo 2000 that was nice but 2 people and the bench seat was just too cramped.
October 18, 2023 at 11:50 am #2230901Thinking I’ll use my Clam till it falls apart. Then use the Sierra I really like that house. Cannot fathom buying another Clam with sewn in windows to break again do like the Clams versatility but the black interior as I’m getting older harder to tie knots And for the price tag ouch.
October 18, 2023 at 11:46 am #2230899Average to below average for me this season. For some reason early spring was on fire for me. The worst was this late season now usually is when I do well but very sporadic. Even using the new live scope technology was a learning curve for me as well to be honest it didn’t really do much for me maybe as I learn more it definitely helped me stay on weed edges easier but to me was nothing that hyped up about it could see advantage for crappies/sunfish and ice fishing just my opinions though. Did do more Neko rigging and noticed the Ned rig not as much this year but got a few on them as well. Spinnerbaits are all but done for me can’t buy a fish on them any more and as Fishthumper said just did not school up as much.
October 18, 2023 at 9:16 am #2230839Thanks everyone! Considering most ice fisherman use trucks in some form. Wouldn’t you think manufactures would go GEE! I bet guys would like to put our overpriced $900 fish house under a cover to protect it keep it safe? After hauling their lead sled a quarter mile the last thing I want to do is mess with seats with pins etc. just so it fits. Drives me nuts but Eskimo seems to have figured it out. I went in and out at a retailer one time trying to measure my truck box height and the fish house heaven forbid you try it it was so close but wasn’t going to pay $500 for an oops. A long time ago Hence the price. I’ll get off the soap box now pay attention to your customer needs manufactures!
October 16, 2023 at 9:03 am #2230454I got 1 bass from shore this weekend but a hog 20 incher on a jig and paddle tail plastic. The last guy who pulled his boat out said water temp was 50 degrees.
October 9, 2023 at 10:26 am #2229052I just tested my jackets blew them up good to Bobbins are good as well. Thanks for tips on here never thought of blowing them up they went 24 hours still blown up.
October 8, 2023 at 7:01 am #2228794Doesn’t the co 2 cartridge get pierced when you screw it in the first time? I thought unscrewing the cartridge would release the gas? I must be missing something here.
October 6, 2023 at 7:35 am #2228458Thanks for the replies. Is the weight a small bell sinker? As for the drop shot I really tried it and just got more fish with wacky or Ned rig or jig worm.
October 5, 2023 at 7:08 pm #2228389Ok Guys what is Free Rig how do you do it. I also gave up drop shoting this summer.
October 5, 2023 at 7:41 am #2228129Due to storing my inflatables in my truck the heat/humidity can get to them and I change the pill every year just in case just my thoughts on it. The reasoning behind this is when I changed them out the first time the pill has a white substance on it and it was bubbled up some meaning moisture was getting to it.
October 3, 2023 at 5:29 pm #2227701Welcome to the club! Took me a while too my favorite is a Ned head jig with a 3 inch chigger craw.
