I do not know as I am not an engine guy. However I think I later saw a photo of this bushing/bearing somewhere omline. I am sure you could find the photo somewhere. It might of even been on this site or a boat/engine magazine. Google Yamaha squeaky bushing and I bet it will pop up.

I had that same issue years ago, about 2011. Local boat guys didn’t know what the noise was from. Next time I was in the shop talking about the issue a Yamaha rep over heard the conversation and knew exactly what the issue was, local guys did not. It was I believe an incorrct size plastic bushing and when replaced with the correct part have had no further issues.

Spent two days trolling Big Trout for lake trout a few days ago. Was using lead core and was able to catch one trout. 29 inches and it was a fatty, guessing fish at about 11 pounds. It was released. Had out 8 colors of lead core and was just trolling the deep basin. Probably down 40-45 feet with a shad rap 7. I consider the trip a success as I didn”t think I would even catch a trout, but they are in there.

My Shorelander trailer was totaled when hit by a motorcycle. Incredibly no damage to the Tahoe or most importantly the boat, but that is another story. Ordered a new trailer from Shorelander in September. The new trailer will not be delivered until February which I am OK with as the boat not being used right now. However since the deal was closed there has been two $500 price increases in the sale price by Shorelander, not my dealer. I have to grin and bear it.

I spent 29 months in Alaska while in the US Navy from 1990 to 1992. Even now, 29 years later I think of Alaska almost every day.

Now I have never fished Woman in July or August but I had a resort manager tell me that in July and August he would troll the shallow large mid-lake flats with a shallow diving crankbait. He usually did well and he waited for this time of the year to troll shallow.

The wrens in our area, an hour north of Eau Claire, usually show early to mid-June.

Excellent walleye fishing in the Bay of Islands, fish any rocky point, esp. if wind blowing. Humps are usually good and use your electronics to find those. The walleye fishing Lac Seul is usually not hard. Usually by August the walleyes will be deeper but don’t be afraid to try shallow, like 4-6 feet shallow when the wind is blowing into the shallows. The water is stained so the eyes may be shallow. You can run to McKenzie but usually don’t need to go that far. We did a couple of times for a change of pace but I didn’t think the walleye fishing was any better. Be prepared for a MNR check usually one time a week as the officer will wait in the channel leading into the Bay of Islands which funnels boaters from Scout Lake, Scout Bay, and Rat Bay. Officer was always polite, just have your ducks in a row and be prepared. Unless it has changed the dock system at Scout Lake Lodge has water 14 feet deep at the outer edge and the slip bobber fishing can be fantastic in the evening. My young sons each caught a 28 inch eyes with leech under the slip bobber. We were doing this in mid July so it may be tougher by August. I know you may not believe me but resist the temptations to run 20-30 miles down the lake

I recently went thru this search. Taber’s Bait in Bemidji had them at least a month ago. They will ship and I found them very helpful. Get them while you can. For some silly reason Lakemaster/Humminbird has decided to stop making paper maps. Electronic map are great but there is still a place for paper maps.

Quick change makes the best product in my opinion, been using these for 15 years. Easy to use and have had no problems. Quick Change Systems, Inc.

I have an Alumacraft TP 175 with carpet on the gunnels which I really really like. Never had a problem with mold at all, no mold on the boat at all and 9 years old. No wear on the gunnel carpet at all, carpet on the decking has worn some but none on the gunnel. Carpet makes the gunnel non slip and provides a soft spot for the cat to sleep.

Like he said go to Lake St. Joseph and don’t look back. The eyes there are easier to catch than on Lac Seul however tend to be a bit smaller than on Lac Seul. Insane walleye fishing, the MNR also limits the number of fisherman through a tag system if I remember correctly.

Excellent post. I learned a lot watching that video and I even have been through navy water survival training. Outstanding. PFD in the spring and fall, especially when fishing alone.

We stopped in on our way to LOTW for gas and bait. We passed many stations to gas up at Fisher Petroleum. Spent about $80 for gas and $40 on bait and snackage. Happy to do business with a local business like this.

I ordered some cranks(can’t have too many) and the service was outstanding. One was out of stock and they called twice to complete the order. I can not ever remember an online business calling. They will get a lot of my future business.

Coming home from Pakwash in Ontario that day. We found out when we stopped in Vermilion Bay for coffee. Gal behind the counter asked if I was American, then told me about the events of the day and that the White House was being evacuated. Sure got our attention asap, it was then a really long drive the rest of the way to the border, which we had heard on the radio could be closing soon. When we arrived at the border it was open but swarming with agents and they were all business, quite a change from 5 days previous. I always love my time in Canada but that day my buds and I really wanted to get home and across the border.

I will be fishing Pipestone lake in Ontario next week for eyes and lakers. Eight colors will get me down to 55-60 feet, throw in the leader and I should get down to 65-70 feet which if true I find amazing using a simple lead core setup. I’ll report my success or failure with deep water lead core trolling.

The blood knot was a little hard on my 52 year old eyes and after a couple screw ups I got it. Looks like a very good knot, technically harder for me than the willis knot. Good gouge!

I have always used the willis knot to attach the lead to the mono. The sheath on the Suffix Advanced lead core however makes using the willis knot next to impossible. When I tried I found the sheath would collapse and not let me thread the mono up the lead core sheath. After working about an hour I finally got a passable willis knot done but the mono pulled out of the lead core. Any ideas on how I could attach the mono to lead core? I known I can use small swivels but I don’t like to run swivels though the guides.

As a family doc I will give some general advice. Usually the lantus needs to be increased by 2-3 units every 5-7 days until the morning sugar is in 120-140 range. However the specifics of your diabetic care may be best addressed by your doc. This can at times get quite complicated and it is easy to get in the weeds. Very important to keep working on and adjusting the medical care and drug doses.

I had the same problem on my 2005 Tournament Pro 175. Problem was two small drill holes in the flanged edge of the dry storage compartment, some silicone and it has been dry for 8 years. Probably the same guy drilling holes in the dry storage at the factory.

This regulation was put into effect in 2008 on Red Cedar lake. At that time most(60-70% of legal walleye) were taken each year out of the system. This was not sustainable long term per the DNR. The 18 inch limit will hopefully give the walleyes 2-3 years of spawning before being harvested. In the two years since I have not caught many legal eyes but each year the fishing has gotten better. Last year in mid August I took my son out and we fished a mid-lake hump. In past years that hump would be devoid of fish, last year it was covered with 15-17 inch eyes, something that I have never seen in the past. This pattern went on the rest of the year. It was like fishing in Canada. It was also a thrill to take my son fishing and catch eyes one after another. Not legal eyes but still fun and my son didn’t care if they were legal or not. I don’t know if this reg will work on other lakes but it sure seems to be working on Red Cedar lake, at least in my experience the last two years. I am really looking forward to fishing Red Cedar this year, I predict it will be on fire and I’m hoping some of those eyes will be reaching the 18 inch size. I know some people will find it hard to keep the larger eyes, however if we harvest eyes over 18 inches they will have at least spawned a couple of years. If they are harvested at 15 inches they may of not even spawned, or at most they spawned only one year.
