Yes the ifish pro worked perfectly. I did have to use a rod holder I made 25 years ago in high school woodshop!

We ended up using mudhole.com and got a turnkey kit. After a few months she finished and we tested it today. Worked great! Thanks IDO!

Thanks for the responses everyone. I have the Alumatrac rod holders that are what you pay for, $30. They loosen up easy if bumped and the pole can only point straight out and/or up from the base. Works ok for panfish and small pike.

I liked them but am now out due to the toothy pike! The medium and large sized seemed to work best. I think I threw out the small ones.

I cant get my “perfect” fishing boat as the wife and kids have an opinion! Eyekatcher I do agree on getting the must haves now. Rootski I think he would notice if he saw his equipment on the other side of the dock!

The plan would be somewhere west of you on 70 and taking it to Oxbo? His cabin is near Draper so it would be a rather short drive.

Any problems with a small jon boat navigating it? We heard we may need to jump out a few times but that would be fine.

I love my American Angler electric. I bought an extra 8″ shark blade that works great.

Thanks everyone, we will be hitting up Wakota Federal Credit Union next week. Only a few blocks from my house and open to Dakota county residents.

I can’t believe how fast it fires some days, you would think it was brand new! Its been well maintained by the looks of it! I will admit though, it does not like cold weather.

It definately makes noise when it happens, i have never hit anything but imagine that hitting a dead head would be similar to what is happening as it jumps a bit.
    Thanks again everyone.

At my rate of “keeper” eyes on Mille Lacs this year I should be that much over my limit in 10 years if I fish every weekend !

We are also on two mile. We’ve been up there 4 times and have yet to catch or see a perch on camera!

My best luck was in shallow water in the spring in my kayak. They don’t spook much when looking for there beds. Then I would use a small jig and plastic and it was game on!

Anyone that stops by pool 2 in So St Paul should run down Concord into Inver Grove for a Turrito’s sub. $5 & excellent! And across the street from the King of Diamonds .
