My next trip isn’t until Memorial Day. We are heading to Francis Case to chase smallies and probably pick up some walleye for the table. From what I’ve read, it doesn’t catch alot of big fish, just a lot of fish and isn’t that what everyone’s after?

it’s 4 wheel drive, so no worries there.

thanks to all who replied. I’m convinced it’ll do the job, now I need to convince my wife that the Lund Laker is worth $4,000 and I’m set.

Over?? I don’t think so. In fact, some of the places that are under water now along the Nebraska/Iowa border, will still be under for months.

My neighbor took his daughter out to Sherman on Sunday (June 12) and caught 10 walleyes in just a couple of hours. He said there were quite a few fish caught and some nice ones. Spinners behind a bottom bouncer w/ crawlers.

I checked with the city, so see about regulations and such. I don’t believe will be a problem, because there are other brick mailboxes in our neighborhood.

It depends on the terrain you are going to drive it on. If it’s flat, go electric. If your course has a bunch of hills, gas is the way to go.

We have the wireless electric fence for our lab and we love it. Our neighbors were so impressed that they got one also, but note that the signals overlap, so now both dogs have access to twice the area. You do have to keep tabs on the collar’s battery life though. It happened while we were at work and Casey ended up at the pound. Now we just replace the batteries on a set interval whether its dead or not.

We use 2 betty crocker pizza crusts per cake pan, sprinkle with a light amount of garlic salt. Then I use Green Mill pizza sauce, 1 jar. Add browned 1lb. of hamburger. Cover in pepperoni. Cover all with pizza cheese generously, usually two of the standard bags.

I use the Betty Crocker bags also, but put some Italian Seasoning in with mix before you add the water and I like to prebake the crust first for about half the cooking time on the bag. That way your crust will be a bit crispier and the cheese won’t be too brown.

From what I’ve been hearing, there’s still quite a bit of ice along the dam at Sherman.

It was a really good seminar. I really enjoyed and I learned quite a bit also. Not many of us can stand up in front of a room full of people and speak for 30 minutes. To do it for an entire day is a serious accomplishment.

Hats off to Ben from the guy who asked quite a bit of the questions.

I called Scheel’s in Lincoln and the guy just laughed when I asked if they had them. He said they are expecting a shipment later this week, but they sell out just hours after they are stocked. I’m good friends with Glenn at Wolf Tackle out at Havelock and he said he’s having trouble getting them, but I’m on the list of people he’ll call when they do come in.

Mustad’s website has pictures of the hooks, I just might try and bend my own and test them out.

Not real sure on what details I can give you. Since that was my first trip, I doubt that I could find my way back to where we fished. When we got most of our bites, we were on the SD side of the river near some stumps.

Last Monday (April 23) I and another fellow caught 20 to 25 bass with the biggest being close to four pounds, in fact we got two that size and I lost what I think was a bigger fish when my knot gave out. Most of the bass were caught on bright colored spinnerbaits thrown almost up to the bank and retrieved just fast enough to keep it out of the weeds. The fish I lost was on a crankbait and I got a couple on a Senko worm. All were caught on the northwest side around those islands (that are now under water).
