Time for a fun dog post. My GSPs Fritz and Remi were finally able to get outside this past weekend and enjoy the “warmer” weather… 36 degrees ABOVE zero in the south metro! Fritz likes to fetch and eat snowballs, and Remi enjoys carrying around his big red ball and running through the snow. It was nice to get them outside and burn off that seemingly infinite GSP energy.

Feel free to share photos of your pups enjoying the snow, or staying warm inside! )

It was great to have a brief warmup. Ripley is fairly impervious to cold, but at -30 F, even he didn’t last long.

Saturday night, I strapped in my XC skis and took Ripley for a jaunt around a local lake. That was fun!

Yesterday’s ice sucked. I literally watched him slide down the driveway, and he fell several times, so we didn’t stay out long for fear of injuries.

We have those Jolly Balls, too. Ripley loves them. Our previous great Dane had the larger horse version, and he loved it, too!

Thanks for posting Sharon. I used to have a GSP growing up. I sure do miss her at times. Your dogs sure look to get plenty of love. I see so many GSP’s sit in a kennel 10 months out of the year and only get attention during hunting season… I feel bad for them. Glad to see you love yours 365 days a year as I did.

Cute! Ripley looks like he’s made to romp in the snow! My boys are a bit too naked for these temps. Luckily they a good snuggle with their blankets now that it’s cold again. lol
