I was on the lake yesterday and noticed a significant draw down. If I had to guess, I would say it was about 2 feet.
The ice shows signs of being “caved in”.
I suppose they are preparing for the big melt.

Doesn’t the drawdown make the ice unstable and scary to go out on?

You won’t be surprised to hear the level has now come up again.
I wouldn’t advise motorized vehicle travel, but foot travel is still occurring.

If you really have the itch to get out, it’s ice free at the Jim Falls landing.
It was ice free as far as I could see down stream.
The ice near the S Bridge landing is still holding up pretty good.
It will be a week or two before the cribs drop.
