Week 9 – Lake Wissota Fishing League Results

    Here are the results from last night for the top 5:

    1) Drunken Bass Holes – 48 points – 6 bass
    1) Fine H2O – 48 points – 6 walleyes and 6 bass
    3) Get-The-Net – 43 points – 1 walleye, 6 bass, and 1 musky
    4) Wissota Skeeter – 41 points – 6 bass and 1 northern
    5) Minnow Slayers – 38 points – 3 walleyes and 6 bass

    Big fish category for the week was bass and Wissota Skeeter kept it’s big fish streak alive with a 16 7/8” football.

    Like they say, “you have to play to win”. We didn’t enter the big fish pot since we were fishing for walleyes and got this 17.5″ smallie on a lindy rig with a Northland gumball jig and a leech. Maybe next time.

    It was a beautiful night on the lake though. Water was still a little high, some boats couldn’t get under the bridge to the small lake.

    With the water level so high this week there has been a lot of weeds moving out to the big lake. It has been hard to find a good clean trolling run. We spent a good part of the night looking for the smallies that seem to be on fire right now. We took a little time to cast the deep insides of the weeds looking for musky. It took about 5 shots into a key location the draw out a 38inch hog that was sitting in no more then 3fow.
