I spent a couple hours on the Yellow River this morning. I wasn’t happy to discover my heater was missing last night.

I pulled two wallyes about 17 inches through the ice and quickly returned them. I caught a chunky northern that I planned to pickle, but he found his way back down the hole when I tended to another flag.

I got the walleyes on jigging spoons.

What colors work good on Wissota for others?

I noticed permanents were being pulled out this morning. Lots of activity.

    Where are the crappies?

A buddy of my step dad iced a 55” Muskie outta one of the Moon bays where the Yellow River comes into the lake. He also got a 35” Northern. They are there boys.

There has been some activity out there before sunrise and after dark.

Have you heard what times seem to be best?

    Jason,
I have not heard on times, I just heard from a fellow angler they were doing real well on the lake. Sorry.
