the panfish limit is 10 as of the 1st of the year. Seems silly to switch this in the middle of the fishing season – my 2012 liscense does not expire until the end of March, unless of course the DNR is looking for a little extra revenue – you know being stupid to the new law is no excuse for breaking it. Also a little birdy told me the crappies are hitting with the correct rig presented 
Your current license is valid until the end of April. I would think that the current regulations on limits would be in place until the end of the valid license. On the DNR web site the most current regulation book still says the limit is 20. Not sure when the new regulation book comes out each year. I knew there had been some talk about changing the sunfish limit in the future, but did not think it was for 2013. I guess we will find out for sure when the new Reg. book come out.. I would have no problem with a 10 fish limit if the possession limit was 20. In only 10 and you keep a limit today you could not keep any more fish until you consumed the 1st 10. I would much rather they had a slot limit that was no fish between 9-10″ with only say 2 or 3 over 10″

Who did you hear the 10 panfish limit from? I haven’t heard a thing.Even asked a few bait shops and they know mothing.
