Just a heads up to anyone fishing around the mouth of the Yellow River: There is a stress crack near the mouth that has split a hole large enough to swallow a truck. I just about learned the hard way as I took the four wheeler down the ice before sun up today. I missed the open water by just a few feet. 
Thanks Aaron ! We discovered that thing Thurs afternoon while checking the ice for the weekend. That pressure crack runs clear across the lake on the Yellow River side. I could not find a spot to cross it on Thurs. so we walked on at a different spot to get south of it. We did see two guys get across it on Sat !!!! 
Fishing was just OK for us Fri & Sat. Mostly crappies and some smaller walleye. 
Did you need to change your pants after that Aaron??
