Looking to catch some smallmouth/walleye in the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest, anyone know of any good lakes and or fishing tips for this? I’m traveling far for this trip and plan on camping to save money. I will also be renting a fishing boat (planning on finding a small fishing boat with a 6-12 hp motor for the week). I would be very appreciative of any advice you may have. Thank you!
Thats a pretty wide open request. I would start with the Flambeau Rivers and the various lakes and flowages it makes. This link will hook you up with the area you are interested in then gave that region a call

Remember smallmouths are catch and release up north till fathers day weekend!
