It’s easy to associate winter with ice fishing, and it is certainly a fun time out when you’re fishing hard water…However, during the winter, it is also a GREAT time to get out and fish the rivers! No where near the amount of pressure compared to the warmer months and if you can take the cold, you should have a great time out fishing the rivers here in CO!

We fished during a snowstorm and it was certainly a winter wonderland type of experience. The bite was great for the few hours we fished, and we landed a wide variety of trout, including big cutbow trout, big browns, and a big rainbow trout!

All fish caught was on either the HD Trout crankbait from Dynamic Lures or the J-spec Jerkbait from Dynamic Lures…Remember, it’s winter and the water is MUCH colder; slow your cranks down and make sure to give your jerks a good pause when figuring out your cadences! Hope you all can get out and get into some big trout on the rivers soon🎣🎣🔥🔥
