I questioned if Winter Fishing was defined as ICE or just dates.
    Appears as just the Dates

The winter regulations for angling affect how many fish you can harvest. You can angle from a boat/open water. Be sure to wear a life jacket.

Please let us know if you have any further questions.

    Mille Lacs walleye, pike regulations

Mille Lacs Lake winter fishing regulations went into effect Dec. 1.

    Mille Lacs walleye

Anglers may keep one walleye between 18 and 20 inches or one longer than 28 inches. The winter walleye regulation extends through Sunday, Feb. 28, 2016.

DNR staff will monitor creel data throughout the winter. If angler walleye harvest appears likely to exceed this year’s 5,000-pound cap, catch-and-release walleye fishing would go into effect. State anglers harvested 3,100 pounds of walleye last winter.

Tribal biologists and the DNR agreed Oct. 15 to set the winter harvest cap for state anglers at 5,000 pounds after September fish assessment data showed that pounds of spawning-age walleye and numbers of walleye from the 2013 year class were above established benchmarks.

I tried one night last week with Waders at an inlet and off of Eddy’s Jetty. Didn’t get a bite, didn’t see a fish.

Fishers resort has been posting a few fish on their facebook page. Looks like Dean has been getting out of their harbor and garrison.

Are they extending the Pike season again? I’m assuming they cut the ridiculous daily limit they had as well?

…Well I am Lucky to be on the other side of that Silly Rule.! When pitching jigs from a slow moving boat or casting cranks from the same, Most of the time I use one line. Other than that I run 2 or 3 lines. . When it comes to fishing 1 2 or 3 lines as i want, I would be bored to he!! if I HAD to fish ONE LINE all the time.! doah crazy … rrr
