Well I learned a lot this break in the realm of predator hunting. First I accomplished my goal of a successfully hunt, and actually getting responses to my calling. That helped me actually realize I know what the heck I’m doing and I’m not totally crazy. I learned I need to develop my ability to use coyote vocals and add them to my arsenal. But the biggest thing I learned was I need more range time, today in my second of three sets I missed the only coyote I saw all day, and earlier in break I missed one. Both shots were in the 200-250yr range. Both were shots I should have been able to make. So as I hang up the calls for awhile since I don’t hunt coyote up at school, I’m going going to start shooting more and more meaningfully. Learning where to hold and where my bullet hits at longer distances so that way I will stop educating and start killing.

I concur! It stinks learning the hard way in the field but those are often the most valuable.
