Where to have Tullies smoked.

    I’m here in the metro but would drive a bit, would probably only keep 10, I do not have a smoker but would bring you beer and fish if you want to do it, otherwise a butcher shop that does good work would be great too. Thanks

    I’ve never smoked them but I looked on YouTube and it looks like you just cut the fish along the belly and split them open and brine them followed by smoking them for a few hours?

    Gino has smoked them before as he posted them in the recipe thread under the smoked title. I noticed he filleted them in half.

    IF I ever get a chance to fish them I’m going to try smoking them. How hard can it be. Mine will be gutted head wacked off.

    Old timers (Grandpa) gut & gilled, threw a handfull of salt into the body cavity, and then laid them on their side in a wooden barrel half for a day or two.
    The head was left on because that is what was impaled on the nail in the smoker.

    Metro? I have had Osseo Meats smoke a number of fish for me and they turned out excellent. I have never had Tullibees smoked but they did many a whitefish I brought back from Canada. Call them and ask.

    Drop them off in north branch and I’ll do it. I’ll charge 1 fish per 10. That seems fair

    Just to be sure they are safe to eat, I think wherever you get them done you should bring a few to me to sample. You want to be safe you know !!!!
    There was a time that Morey’s in Motely use to smoke them for people. I’m not sure if they still do or not. As a kid we use to bring them a ton of them to smoke for us. They use to charge us almost nothing to do them since we were just kids.
