here you go Glenn, vittles granny would be proud of even if it doesnt have opossum in it !!
just took it off of the pellet grill,I cheated and turned the heat down so I could add to the smokiness of the sauce mix I posted.

But did Granny let the Ole#7 make it to the pot? rotflol
Seriously it sounds like a nice mix!

Got the wok out and had a big stir fry, also had a quick marinade on the thin sliced flat iron steak. Added a tsp of baking soda to the marinade, I think this is called velveting? Or something like that.

The mader slices were over a half inch thick and completel sliced in one piece. Full bread slice sized. It made 5 whole sandwiches and the top and bottom slice was still leftover.

recipe, drive five hundred frigging miles to a lake in northern MN.
after spending bookoo bucks on boat and maintenance and dragging it with you, unload boat, spend night in torrential down pours for eighteen hours, launch boat and go fishing.
catch fish, filet fish, bag and freeze fish in lake water.
drive five hundred frigging miles back home, toss frozen filets in freezer for four months.

thaw filets, place in lemon juice concentrate mix and cold water for half hour.
heat sunflower oil to 375 degrees, flavor oil with favorite batter before tossing coated filets in.
mix jack and pepsi in anticipation, four or five will do.

depending on size of filets, place two to four at a time in hot oil,fry three to four minutes.
meanwhile, mix smoked brisket from two months ago with bushes baked beans and place in microwave for three minutes.
combine fried filets with brisket and beans on plate, eat till full.
keep drinking thinking of open water while on vacation.
be miserable for two days because you ate too much.
try to keep blankets on bed from after effects of beans, maybe for two days.
    cherish the memories of vacation.

Ditto! Ok. Maybe in brownies or chocalate chip cookies. Grandma Groene’s “secret” CC cookie recipe was same off the package of Nestle choc chips except she added walnuts chopped almost to powder. Darned good stuff. Memories……

    Beef stew!
Unfortunately at 35$ to make this pot I can not leave it alone so it turns out to be a glutton belly swollen dinner after all said and done at the cost of a bit more than $10 a meal. Well, that may be under estimating a bit. Sometimes dinner last a bit long when one bowl happens on the hour on a lazy day watching a game or two.

Being single has its drawbacks but I do share when warranted.

I make a mean Cajun cream based crappie soup. Maybe next time.

heres my meal tonight, chicken boobs and baby bella mushrooms.
the chicken has been on the smoker at 245 for an hour now.
in another ten minutes I will toss the shrooms on.
the chicken marinade is of my own concoction:
    one cup of olive oil
    two tablespoons of pure honey
half teaspoons of,webers kickn chicken, lemon pepper
quarter teaspoons of garlic powder, salt, and pepper.
warm the olive oil and honey in the nuker until just warm enough to dissolve the honey into the oil, stir in all ingredients.
marinate the chicken for at least six hours.

mushroom marinade, third cup of soy sauce, third cup of worchestershire, one shot of jack number seven, marinade for at least an hour, place the shrooms bowl side up on the grill/smoker and fill with marinade.
sorry pics are blurry, too much coffee this morning !!!
