What did you use to smoke them with?

We had 3 cabinet smokers going. 2 pit bosses and a Bradley. That picture was only about a 1/4 of what we made. Smokers are currently running again all day today.
We made a brat that turned out so awesome I’m going to put it at the top maybe best brat I’ve made in 20 years. Jalapeños, pepper jack, smoked Chipotle peppers, and garlic. I think the smoked Chipotle was what did them such a huge favor

I’ll be enjoying these, fresh off the tree: grapefruit, lemons, oranges and tangelos.

First fresh peaches. I have 3 trees that are supposed to ripen 2 weeks apart. The first tree has about 200 that look to ripen in the next week. Unfortunately, the next 2 trees the peaches are a little bigger than golf balls due to the dry weather. Any good recipes welcome, we’ll be knee deep for the next 10 days. Never the same frozen.

Yes, no way the branches would hold the weight. I have pulled over 100 a few weeks ago then supported the branches in 6 places. Picture doesn’t give the full effect of how many are on that tree.

Tops on the list. I prefer the oatmeal crumble top recipes.

Sadly, almost all my dad’s family in KY are gone and I don’t know if anyone has that cobbler recipe. I’ll have to check with my older cousins. It was even good with canned peaches but only us lazy folks up north would do that. My aunts wouldn’t even use pudding mix for banana pudding and I’m surprised they didn’t bake their own Nilla Wafer cookies.

Blackstone breakfast with a side of beefsteak on our finest china. I’ll be stuffed until dinner. BLT’s if it’s hot and sunny or bacon cheese smash burgers if it’s not. Pretty disappointed with the Kroger brand hash browns. No amount of heat and oil could get them crispy.

Went to dinner with a bunch of coworkers on the company last night. Had half a Nashville hot chicken sandwich and half a cheeseburger left over. Made a frittata by frying up the chopped up chicken and burger meat, mixing in beaten eggs, stir for a minute, then added cheese and cut up jalapeno corn bread and the buns. Sprayed the top with duck fat so it would crisp up better in the oven for 10min. My wife says I should go on that show Chopped with the way I repurpose leftovers all the time.

I’m afraid to admit all I had on hand is cheap generic high fructose corn syrup with 2% maple flavoring… doah

I was doing some experimenting in the kitchen this morning and YES! My homemade pancake recipe makes a fine waffle recipe too! mrgreen

I’m wondering how different they’d be if I left out the baking powder?

    Sharon’s Homemade Pancakes/Waffles
    1 cup flour
    1/2 cup sugar
    1/4 tsp salt
    1 tsp baking powder
    3/4 cup milk
    1/4 cup melted butter
    1 tsp vanilla
    1 egg

Try the raised waffles with the yeast batter. Make it the day before and keep in the fridge overnight.

The waiter comes over to the couple at the table and asks ” Is there something wrong with your food?” They say no. “Why do you ask?” He says ” You haven’t taken a picture of it yet”
