What perennial should I plant on my atv trail. Partial sun, well drained sandy loam. I would like low growing and durable for mild atv travel…and inexpensive!!! I’m cheap.

Depending on the amount of sun, buffalo grass may work. It has super deep roots that will help hold the soil together.

Personally, I would use a mixture of PayDay perennial ryegrass and white clover. PayDay is a very tough ryegrass that is cold and drought tolerant. As a benefit, deer like to eat it.
I’d mix in a pound or two of white dutch clover per acre. It won’t survive everywhere on the trails, but in the sunnier spots you’ll have a nice added benefit of providing more perennial food.
