    Plymouth, Wisconsin – Aug 12th, 2008 – Anglers Insight Marketing™ (AIM™) comments on industry’s loss of the PWT while developing opportunities for industry manufacturers and anglers in 2009.

    While both the PWT and AIM™ are in the business of competitive angling, they are on the opposite ends of their businesses life cycles, PWT closing its doors and AIM™ opening theirs. The recent announcement that the PWT will be closing its door at the end of this season was indeed a sad moment for our industry.

    AIM™ reminds us to think about the positive contributions the PWT has made since that first day on Mille Lacs back in 1989. Literally thousands of lives have been impacted for the better, from the aspiring anglers who became inspired pros, to lure manufacturers and marine companies who were able to showcase new products. It’s up to all of us in this market to continue to strive forward with the passion and resolution this industry is known for.

    “We have been asked if the change announced by the PWT will have an effect on AIM’s strategies,” said Matheson, AIM’s President and CEO. “To that, anytime the landscape changes within your industry it’s only prudent for any organization to evaluate potential impacts. That having been said, we at AIM™ continue to be fully engaged, hitting our internal timelines in order to provide fresh opportunities for both anglers and manufactures in 2009. We are focused on our objectives and this change will not deter AIM’s overall goals. Now, for all the individuals who have been part of the PWT, each of you has made a difference in this fishing industry and for that we are all forever grateful.”
