Went to Volga Lake today,
Got on the water at 6:30am.
On the drive there, I noticed the ditches had high water in them recently, oh oh.
The water was really stained in the lake.
I was catting with a cut up dead shad on 1 pole, and sonnys regular on the other.
My wife was throwing a 2″ sassy shad, grey with black back,and gulp minnow spray, my son was throwing a 1″ black curly tail with culp nightcrawler spray, and they were trying for bass and crappies.
Around 8:30 my wife thought she had a snag, turned out to be a 5 lb channel cat.
I took off the sonnys and started thowing a 2″ black curly tail.
I caught a 5″ crappie.
Moved around and fished until 12:15 pm.
