Question for Vermillion regulars/locals: Potentially looking to stay at a place down in the elbow near the Pike River Dam. Looks like skinny water back there but it looks like there are plenty of docks too. Is it safe to assume you can safely navigate out to Pike Bay (and then the main lake from there)?
I was just up there and went down into Pike bay a little bit (not to the dam). it is 4-5 ft deep in most spots that I was in, but there are hazards, which are really well marked.
Gotcha, thanks for the info. We’re looking at a place ways back in toward the dam and it looks pretty dicey back there. Any info would be much appreciated.
