    She was fantastic! Two of the greatest female singers/performers of all time gone. Tina and Whitney. Whitney far too soon.

    Agree, I’d add Aretha Franklin to that list for the Trifecta of influential female singers who’ve passed.

    I’m far from a music or popular culture expert, but decided to do a little off the cuff research on Tina Turner.

    Her life was the furthest thing from easy.

    I remember on David Letterman’s show he did a comedy bit on new book releases. “Woman Be Thinkin’ Too Much…The Ike Turner Story”. It cracked me up. It did because Tina had escaped his abuse and was in the middle of her huge success as a solo artist.

    Her upbringing was pretty tough too. Parents basically taking turns abandoning her
