Back in college my wife and I made Jackasses.
All ingredients are poured into a blender with Ice.
    Big can of limeade
Fill that same can with Sprite
Fill that same can with gin or vodka
Crank the blender on and crush the ice and ingredients together.

Would this be just one serving for one person? smirk

We soak cherries in bacardi for for a week. Strain out the cherries and reserve. The rum gets a nice red color, mix with pineapple juice and throw a cherry or two in. Great in the summer, but also dangerous!
Eat a few of the cherry bombs in the morning. yay

When free-stone peaches come available, peel and pit and slice 4-5 nice ones and put the slices in a quart jar with vodka and cover./ Put in the fridge for 5 days. Chill a bottle of sweet white wine. Place a couple, 3 slices of peach and a healthy shot of the vodka in a glass with a couple ice cubes, add white wine to fill the glass. We call this drunken peaches. Eat a few of the peach slices and you will understand the name.

Tom once in a while we buy cling stone peaches, because the free stone haven’t arrived yet. we put the cling stones in a Vodka/ simple syrup along with the peach skins. it makes a nice peach infused vodka. cant throw anything away except the oink you know!!
no meat on the free stone, they get tossed.

New creation. Not sure what to call it.

    Lime peel
    Lime juice from 1/2 lime
    8-10 mint leaves
    2 dashes of agostura bitters
    1 teaspoon honey

    – muddle

    Add ice
    Gin about 2/3 glass
Top with a splash of tonic

    Basically a G&T mojito.

    Damn!

I experiment with number of combinations for a summer cocktail using Vodka, Gin or Aquavit. Mix with tonic and/or various San Pellegrinos and flavored sparkling waters. Add Lemon, Lime, Mint, Cucumber, Water Melon, etc. Different concoction every time.

We got into palomas last year. Summer Lakes Luna Paloma mix is fantastic. Their Fresh Press Jalapeno Margarita is darn tasty, too.

I did the same last week. So good. My wife pretends like she doesn’t know how to make one so that I will make them.

This thread reminds me it is time to make some smoke simple syrup for smoke mint Julep.

    Smoked simple syrup
    Ingredients:
    o 2 cups granulated sugar
    o 2 cups water
    FLAVOR INFUSERS
o orange, lemon or lime rind
    o mint
    o basil, rosemary, sage
    o jalapeno slices
    o sliced ginger

    Directions:
    1. Heat smoker to 180F degrees.
    2. Pour sugar and water into a 13 x 9 pan. Stir. Smoke for 2 hours, stirring occasionally to ensure sugar is dissolved.
    3. Place your selected flavor infusers into mason jars. The more you add, the stronger the flavor will be. Pour the smoked syrup on top. Cover. Let steep for at least 30 minutes.
    4. Refrigerate leftover syrup. To stop the flavor from intensifying, strain out the flavor infusers.

    smoke mint Julep
    o ice
o 2 tbsp smoked mint simple syrup or whatever flavor you made
    o ½ cup bourbon.

    Or
    smoke mojito
o 2 tbsp smoked mint simple syrup
    o 2 tbsp lime juice
    o 1/4 cup rum
    o ice
    o 2 tbsp club soda

You can just taste the campfire.

Aquavit is some really tasty stuff. Make a great summer cocktail.
