Got out on the river above Cedar Falls with a buddy for 3 hours this morning and caught a couple nice 15-17″ Walleye. Fish came in 5-8ft of water on livebait rig or jig, and one on a crankbait. Had to get off the water as soon as we got into the fish!

Very nice day to be out!

I know there was another member out on this section, we’ll see if he chimes in with his results…

Greg did them on the grill with Lemon Pepper, really good!

I showed Greg a spot that has done well for me and it’s close, make sure he takes you there!

Last Sat. morning(8-28) 3 of us did a float with jon boat in Mitchell Co. We all used 1/8 oz. jigs with white or yellow twister tails. The water is low and clear which made for great fishing. We ended up catching and RELEASING over 50 smallmouth. I have fished this river for over 30 years and have only had a handfull of mornings that good. We also caught 7 walleyes and 1 northern that we kept. What an exceptional fishery in our area.
