Caught some big smallies in the Shell Rock recently. The river is low and the water is clear. Nothing like an 18 inch smallie on light tackle. Couldn’t scratch a walleye which was what I was fishing for. Many a trip has been saved by the small mouth bass though. Hope this rain gets them going by the weekend.

I know some are catching a few walleye, but I’m not one of them. The Smallies have kept me from being skunked.
