I put a new 106SV with the new transducer on last year. opening weekend during a windstorm the transducer was knocking up against a boat lift. i noticed no damage to the transducer but it wasn’t exactly sitting straight on the bottom of the transom. the regular sonar and downview work just fine but the sideview is totally non readable. did i wreck the transducer? does it need to be straightened out on the bracket? is there something in the settings that i am missing. it was a very expensive unit and i hope it isn’t wrecked. any input would be appreciated.

Tough to say. Yes the crystals inside can get damaged without damage to the outside. Could just be off alignment or interfering with something on the back.

update. i took it in to the shop that installed it. they unplugged my old transducer and hooked up a new one. same problem with side view. they installed the current software update and booM! the sideview is working with the current transducer
