Heading to Lake City this sat for two days. Never fished the region this time of year. Any ideas on where the eyes and smallies will be? I assume cranks at night for eyes. What about during the day?

I’m surprised at the lack of responses here. I have not been there in the fall but have always wanted to. I’ve always wanted to fall fish and hunt waterfowl in the area.
I’ve been out here in the winter and love this area. Where do you plan to stay while there?
So many lakes, so many species of fish. This area is just a bonanza!
Good luck. I hope someone pipes up as to best areas out there.

September 26, 2007 at 12:28 pm #611167When I was there about 3 wks ago…the smallies were going in a big way on the mid-lake rocks. The eyes we caught were trolling weed edges on #5 rapala joints…and firetiger was the color. Jan and the folks at the resort will certainly update you.A great lake for sure, you will have a great time!
