Anyone have any pointers for fishing Saylorville? Went out on Saturday and kept 5 eater size catfish. Reports say white bass are biting, we only catch one.

I’ve been hearing good reports about the white bass, but I had one on suday afternoon but the cold front came through and shut everything down

September 1, 2006 at 2:53 am #474022I fished the ville last saturday and had little luck. i did however see the largest white bass eruption ever along the dam. right on us too, we weren’t ready for it of course, but got 4 casting what we had in about a minute and it was over. this was a huge school of fish – about the size of a football field just boiling on the surface. man they’ve got a lot of little shad to eat in there. they were not spread out in packs, like normal, but i can’t complain.
