I had some free time between the kids baseball practice and dinner so I loaded up the boat and headed to the lake. The crappies were on a tear and I must have caught 100 in a couple of hours. I kept 20 nice ones (10″-14″)Casting jigs was the best presentation. Two 1/16 oz jigs, cast out, swim back to the boat very slow. Occasionally the crappies would hit it hard, but most of the time you just felt a slight weight, set the hook and they would be there. The first picture is a couple of nice slabs ready for cleaning.

Wow. Were you fishing the bc spillway again or somewhere else? Nice report.

BC spillway. Went out again on Saturday and the water coming over the slide has slowed down as well as the lake level dropping a foot. The fish were still there but not like before.
