I heard James talking about some maps, not sure if they were a pay for subscription or one time cost or free
Anyone have any guidance on good satellite imagery coverage of MN and Canada?

I should have clarified, I have used Google, Bing (sometimes better) and the generics and played With EarthExplorer but I was under the impression there are new daily views of some locations
Try this out, daily satellite photos updated and previous day images. Ability to click on a section and zoom in to some extent.
If you are talking about the episode from this season on Lake Erie, Realtree has the right link. Modis imagery is what they use for great lakes daily satellite imagrey.
Forgot to mention, NASA worldview is also good for the rest of the state. It is updated once daily.

Yup, modis. Very handy for tracking ice cover and water clarity.
MODIS is my choice too but the trouble with daily satellite images is all the cloudy days.
