I was able to get out again this saturday on my new found lake in Laos. The beauty of this reservoir is incredible. Today we had great weather with lows in the 50’s and highs in the 70’s. The mountains were a little hazy today because of the lower temps.

No new species for me but more of the same. I am not sick of fishing these Jungle Perch yet so I keep on fishing. I had my line get cut today from a fish. We are suspecting a Giant Snakehead which excites me because the numbers for them seem low here.

We ended up with a dirty dozen today. 7 of the Kasoop Jud (they are smaller and have the black dots on them) and 5 Kasoop Keed.

This was the Tanker of the bunch.

It’s not a Lowe, Alumacraft, or a Lund but it gets the job done. It is stable enough to stand and fish out of.

We fish structure like this grassy island and weed beds like the pic below.

I noticed a few of these structures on the lake. I am told they put a lantern on the bamboo stick that leans over to attract small fish at night to their minnow traps.
