The Red is about to start heading the right direction, DOWN. Once she hits between 22 and 25 ft I will be heading out. This morning it was at 43.75. Just thought I’d let everyone know.

Still above flood stage and wil be for at least the next week to week and a half. Man the itch is getting so bad, I just might try it with higher water this spring if the ramps are open. Stay tuned.
Barring any big amounts of rain we should be testing the waters sometime next week. Reports are coming stay tuned.
The river dropped below flood stage yesterday afternoon. The city should be cleaning it off anytime now. They said once she got below 28 they would start cleaning it. I’ll let you kow how that goes. Its fishng time
Go get them Sumos! Hopefully I’ll find some time to head up to the Red for them channels this year.
If you make it up this way give me a call and I will help you the best I can.

I sure will.
Last year due to some flooding we switched our plans and ended up staying closer to home down at Evert’s. We caught nice walleyes and flatheads that weekend. The Red water levels were falling from what I remember and maybe would’ve even been okay, but we didn’t want to drive all that way and end up with poor fishing. The Red River has been on the “to do list” for some time now, and hope to make it happen sooner than later.
If I wouldn’t have gotten sick this last weekend I wouldbe able to give you a report sorry the best I can due is that a good freind was able to find fish. Their biggest was 22 pounds and the spring bite should be starting as soon as the water starts to hold instead of dropping like a rock. I will keep you all posted on how the bite is along with some photos.
