DANG! one of my all-time favorites, dead at the all-to-young age of 67. Apparently died in his sleep while filming a movie in the Dominican Republic.
Goodfella’s is a top 5 favorite movie of all time for me and one of the few times I’ve cried in front of my two boys is while watching Field of Dreams with them. “Dad… wanna have a catch?” get’s me every damn time.

He definitely was one of the good ones. RIP!
RIP Ray… he is back in an Iowa cornfield playing ball.
On screen he had the sharpest edge and he was able to make the roles he played epic. The real guy was very soft spoken and humble. He always talked about how he cherished his family, God’s Speed Ray.
It’s a silly movie but I loved him in Wild Hogs. Goodfella’s is gold.
