Heading up on May 30th and I see other people discussing low water levels on Canada forums. Does anyone have up to date info on Rainy?
Also anyone been fishing for Walleye? How is the fishing either side as I plan on fishing U.S. and Canada. Thanksg
It is within lower third of the normal range. Net inflow is trending down but it is nothing to worry about.
My major concern is traveling on the “inside passage” which isn’t all that deep in a normal year, 4 or 5 ft in many areas so a drop of a couple feet would be kind of risky.
At this level you have nothing to worry about if you stay between the buoys. The national park service runs their big tour boat through the inside channel at this depth…and lower. I suspect your boat doesn’t have that kind of draft.
