I’m thinking of heading out tomorrow. Has anyone tried lower pool 4 near wabasha this time of year? I’ve done ok there mid may but haven’t tried April. Thanks.

I would think that would be moving out of the river at the confluence. Might be too early. I’ve never fished there.
April 28, 2022 at 7:14 pm #2120096waters about 42 degrees and high, a little warmer on the lake. if your fishing for walleye its tough right now!!! you missed the hot perch bite after ice out. Nothing going right now that wont be a grind! good luck I’m going out there tomorrow as well.
Not sure why but all the walleye seem to move up to the redwing area chasing the warmer water or something but i rarely catch eyes ice fishing peppin anyplace south of Methodist point spring is usually no different until mid-late may

April 29, 2022 at 6:21 pm #2120410The mystery of the river. The dam by alma great but according to lore the next good fishing spot after that dam is 30 miles upriver near red wing!!
