Point 1 GPS puck and older units

    Hi All,

    After calling Lowrance and having 37 callers ahead of me I figured I would see if any IDOers knew the answer to my question…

    Does anyone know if the new Point 1 GPS puck receivers are compatible with 2006 LCX113 HD graphs?

    I don’t think it will be compatible with that old of unit. I have a 2012 Lowrance Hds1 and they told me that it would not work properly with the Point 1 GPS. I believe it works with the HDS2 and later units.

    I have a Hds gen2 on my bow and its attached to the Point 1 gps. It then shares the signal with my Gen 1 on the dash. So you answer is that it only works with HDS gen 2 and newer devices. It works very well for my purposes

    Sorry if I’m late and you don’t need the info anymore. The LCX units will work fine with the Point-1 GPS receiver. They just don’t take advantage of the higher data rate.
