Pike?

    Anyone been out doing any pike trolling recently? Much for weeds this year?

    There is some decent weed growth in the NE corner. Some nice cabbage in spots. My son caught this one today, 41 inches

    Nice looking pike there! Spent the morning trolling the west, Northwest and North shores. Found some weeds but nothing super great. Tired spoons, super Shad’s, smaller Shad’s, shallow divers, deep diving and some flicker Shad’s.

    Cove, Isle, Wahkon, and Vineland bays all had pretty good weed growth when I fished them for muskies and pike. Probably wouldn’t be great for trolling though, some areas were pretty thick.

    Yeah I did notice that on the northern areas too. Like sparse stuff then it gets really thick in spots. Makes it hard to troll in that stuff.
