Wife and I are off to pool 4/Pepin sunday and she wants to fish for crappies, and I haven’t a clue where to look for them or what to use this time of the season.
Not asking for anybodies hot spot, although I wouldn’t complain, but just really looking for if you can actually target crappies and some basics on how and with what to use?

we’ve done pretty good on 5a by bass camp targeting backwater holes and sunken timber. use a slip bobber and meat and that combo usually works out pretty good. best advice is to hunt for them don’t stick around in 1 spot and drink too many beers unless u have found “the spot”
Slip bobbers, minnows, Stockholm pier. nuff said. 
Thanks guys, she likes bobber fishing so this should work well.
This would be shallow then, maybe 10′ or less?
