Gill’s 5-9 inches have been pretty fun on the north half of pool 9. It sure makes you rethink your tactics for walleye when the critters won’t leave a light jig with a worm anything alone. Actually have been having a blast with them for a half hour here and there. A week or so ago we were talking about a lot of smaller ones(in backwater), but they are pretty much larger out on the channel where we have been catching them. I have two days open next week and I thing I’m gonna dig out my featherweight(icefishing) rod and reel, or borrow a friends lightweight fly gear and spend a day for myself just fishing for the bulls we have been getting. Had an ultralight in a customers hands yesterday and they really made a tussle, but I think my featherweight will be a blast. Lawrence
