    Lots of open water out there, as I found out the other day. Anyone been on it yet?

    Hit the inlet at Johnson last weekend. Great weather, no so great fishing.

    There were 5 or 6 of us at the inlet, 6 or 8 guys on the ice off the dam and 1 boat on the lake. Can’t say I have ever seen that before.

    I heard about that too, wild stuff. Some guys were out there tonight too, crazy monkeybutts. It’s been pretty slow over there lately at the checks, I’m told. I threw jigs the other day for some crappies at an area on the canal and blanked, but sure was great being out. Hopefully this cooler weather this week passes quick.

    Was on the ice again this week and looks like I will be some more in the coming days.
