Nice afternoon on the river

    Took the new Jon boat out on the river yesterday afternoon for a little test run on the newly mounted Minn Kota motor. Everything worked great and I even caught some decent walleyes along the way.
    Kind of nice to pop a couple decent fish in the middle of January for the table later this week.

    Joel… now getting out in the boat sounds like a lot of fun. Figured most of the river would be locked up. Congrats on the voyage.

    Ha, I took a walk past the Jon boat and brushed off some of the new fallen snow this morning. I’m still too much into the ice fishing mode, but one day I will be backing up to the boat and pointing the truck towards the WI river.
