New Years Eve ribs

    I’ve got 5 slabs of pork ribs (halved to make them easier to deal with) stripped, seasoned overnight, rested and ready for the smoker. Two rubs and no sauce for these guys just some low and slow heat and smoke for the next few hours.

    Drake thinks these are going to be his breakfast but I’m not about to let that happen:)

    looks great! I have a turkey thawing for tomorrow. Im also going to smoke some shrimp wrapped sausage for an app. Happy New Year!

    Drakes brother Ruger is already well trained to sit patiently by the oven and wait. Some how, a few “treats” seem to fall in front of him.

    Yeah Drake is still learning but doing pretty well. 9 months last week.

    The ribs are done! Fall off the bone tender.

    My pooch always supervises kitchen activities. Those ribs look like a nice way to say goodbye to 2014.
