Has anyone had this issue with thier side scan? 1/2 is good other 1/2 is dark. I can get it to color, but have to turn the contrast up so high it messes up the good side. New transducer, absolutley level, amd not blocked view. I also did a factory reset…im at a loss….

Try tilting your motor up. Some times it will get blocked by the lower unit. My old boat had this issue.

New transducer? Did it do the same thing with the old transducer?

Yeah, it’s probably just a bad transducer that was sent to you.

    Yes, but not always…

I had the same issue and Humminbird sent me a new ducer. That didn’t fix the problem so they had me send the head in and was back to me in 5 business days and its been flawless since.

Sometimes your cable works loose in the back of the head unit too…

I’ve thought my SI when out on one side too and I reached around to find that the transducer cable plug had just slightly backed out. Pushed it back in and watched the image clear up.

Hope that’s all it was for you chappy.

This happened on my Helix 10. Multiple transducers, same issue. It’s in the head unit. It works fine networked to my Helix 9 (which is connected to the transducer) so i haven’t sent to back to HB for repairs yet). Some threads online say it’s the mother board that needs to be replaced.

I had a different repair needed (Water behind the screen) but got my same head unit back.

No issues at all with the repair from Humminbird.
