Spent opener on the whitewater with decent fish caught,Generally slower this year but with a record crowd stomping the river banks and low clear water I kind of expected it to be a tough one,Largest rainbow caught was a healthy 15″ and largest brown was nearly the same size.Crawlers and gold spinners did the trick.Did notice a lack of small fish though as only one was under 13″.Spent part of sunday on the root in the lanesboro area in the wind and rain and only managed one 15″ brown and some trophy suckers.Still beats a day at work and had a good time trying out the equipment.This weekend is going to be another challenge again with the weather predicted.Going to have to carry the camera next outing.
