The wind was blowing pretty good all day where we were fishing making casting difficult at times, but we managed to catch 40+ trout between 9-16 inches on #14 bead headed prince nymphs. A surface bite started at around 11:00 that made us switch to #18 caddis and blue wing olives. These trout were all catch and release, but i am starting to get hungrey for some trout.
Hows the water in that area. I was thinking about heading down on Friday to do a little fishing. I have not been trout fishing either of the last 2 years.
THe water is really fishing good. However, we will be getting 11 inches of snow. But then it is supposed to get up into the 60’s for the end of the week and weekend. The trout are big and in very good shape. I fished the whitewater and the root. Both are in good shape.
