Caught just about everything yesterday..browns, rainbow,salmon,and lakers. September 4th 2-4 miles out of kewaunee harbor was outstanding..caught five limits by 8:45am.
From daylight to 7:15am had best luck fishing 60ft down, after that 100ft down did the trick. 
Looks like you had calm water for a change. What was the hot bait?

By the way when I was a boy I was a big fan of the Sgt. Rock howling commando’s comic books…those were great comic books 35 or 40 years ago.

A few days ago on september 4th the lake was very calm. The photo on my post was taken 2 miles out on lake michigan…so yes it was calm.
The hot bait that days was a watermelon spoon. Just a long spoon with the color of a watermelon rine.
Yep that’s where the name comes from. About 30 years ago when I was in the military I was a little more crazy than today. I grew up on the big pond in Manitowoc so always nice to keep up on the reports. I remember fishing out of a 12ft boat before the marina was built there. Calm water was always good!!
