We fished last night from 5pm to 11pm and finished the night with 10 fish in the boat and missing a few. We fished water depths from 20 to 25 FOW running both crankbaits along with minnow baits on leadcore. While we caught fish on all baits the fish really preferred the minnow baits really showing a preference for smaller baits. Our best bait last night was a Husky Jerk behind leadcore. Going to take tonight off but will be back on the water this weekend.

Thanks for the updates, Paul. If you’re getting the cold temps and wind that we’re getting over here in MN tonight is a very good night to take a break.

PS – have you tried the swimbaits on jig rods yet? If so, any luck?

James I have been very busy doing the night time trolling thing so I have not had a chance to get out during the day but my plans are to get out there Sunday And Monday and work with those baits including some blades. I will keep things updated.

A guy has to sleep some time! Thanks for the response back. Keep me posted once you’ve had a chance to give those jigs and blades a whirl. Happy Thanksgiving!
